# double wordpress installation with same database and same posts

 * ** I want to create two different web site address (www.mysite1.com) and (www.
   mysite2.com) that use the same database and have the same posts content
    In config.
   php I changed the prefix of the two instalation by wp1_ for [http://www.mysite1.com](http://www.mysite1.com)
   and wp2_ for [http://www.mysite1.com](http://www.mysite1.com) and it did not 
   work
 * both websites (www.mysite1.com) and (www.mysite2.com) have a different web adress
   and a different theme and a different logo but the same posts

 * You dont state exactly what you want. Do you want two WP sites with the same 
   posts, pages, theme, multimedia files, etc? Or do you want to only share posts
   and/or pages?
 * What you stated above is not WP multisite, you installed two separate single 
   WP sites… so the topic should not really be in this forum.

 * If you only want to share posts between two sites, then what you proposed above
   would not work. Creating two sites in the same database with different prefixes,
   still creates two completely separate sites (WRT db data)… meaning nothing is
   shared between the two WP sites.
 * What you want could be accomplished via plugin, but I have no experience with
   that type of functionality. Hopefully someone else can recommend a plugin that
   does something similar. Note that what you want could be accomplished with WP
   multisite, but again you would still need a plugin to share the post data.
