# Downgrade question

 * After being unable to get my upgrade to work, I replaced all the new files upgraded
   today with the old files. Everything seems to be there and working for the viewer.
   
   But, I can’t log in, I get this – Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_admin_css()
   in /home/valmg/public_html/wp-admin/admin-header.php on line 20
 * Will someone please let me know what I need to do to be able to log in again?

 * If you are reverting from 2.3 or 2.3.1 to 2.2.3 then I’d suggest deleting all
   your wordpress files and the restore the old files.
 * Same thing for the database. DROP all the tables, then restore your database 
   backup.

 * I did delete the files and put the old ones back up, then when I tried to login
   I got the message I pasted above

 * Remember to do the database.
 * If necessary, download a ‘pristine copy’ of whatever version you were running
   and upload that.
