# Downgrade WordPress

 * How do I downgrade WordPress back to the version I had before the 5.1 upgrade?
   I have tried everything I can to fix the problems I am having with not being 
   able to create/edit posts and pages and need to get my website accessible again.

 * If you are having trouble with being able to edit and create content you might
   just want to add the Classic Editor Plugin. This will take you back to the earlier
   editor most users were using before the introduction of the new Block Editor.

 * If you wish to actually downgrade WordPress I’d suggest going back to version
   4.9.9 using this plugin…

 * I already have the classic editor, and my website is still not working. I don’t
   seem to have any other option other than to go back to an earlier version that
   worked.

 * I have the same problem, neither Gutenberg nor classic editor works. Downgrading
   seems to be the only solution.
