    Hi, Tobias!
I’m testing your TablePress plugin. Here: https://datatables.net/ I saw the green drop-down menu buttons. Is this implemented by inserting a side shortcode into the cells, or do you have an additional option?
    Thank!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m not sure what you mean with “green drop-down menu buttons”. Are you referring to the green “+” icons?

If so, those can be obtained by using the collapse mode of the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/

    Tobias

    Hi, Tobias!
    Thanks for the quick response!
I tried to do everything as in the instructions:

    Installed: TablePress Extension: Responsive Tables
Also I have installed: TablePress and Tablepress Extension: Single Cell Content Shortcode

    Here is my shortcode: [table id = 10 responsive = collapse cache_table_output = “true” column_widths “8% | 18% | 50% | 8% | 8% | 8%” /]

    Here is the page.
However, as you can see there are no changes ((
    Did I do something wrong?

    Thank!

    Hi,

this works fine for me, on a small screen. Keep in mind that this is a solution for responsiveness, so that this will only be used if it is necessary because the columns would not fit otherwise.

    Tobias

    Hi, Tobias!

Yes, it really works (I looked at the small screen)!

Unfortunately, it does not suit me. I need an accordion in the table. I thought that I could hide some of the additional information in the rows of the TablePress table.

Do you have such a solution?

    Hi,

ah, for this, you can use the TablePress Extension that is described at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/how-to-expand-tablepress-row/#post-3741566

    Tobias

    Hi, Tobias!
Yes Yes! This is exactly what you need!

    My shortcode is now:
    [table id = 10 cache_table_output = “true” datatables_row_details = true datatables_row_details_columns = “C” column_width = “10% | 50% | 10% | 10% | 10% | 10%” /]

    You can see here

    I looked at this page.

Please tell me where to read about how to fix: for some reason, a column with pluses climbs onto a brown table heading.

And yet, how to change the color of the “pluses” and “minuses”, or change to another icon (in a specific table).

    Denis

    Hi Denis,

I’m not sure what you mean with “climbs onto a brown table heading”. Everything looks fine to me. Can you maybe try in a different browser? If this happens there as well, can you maybe post a link to a screenshot?

The plus and minus are small images in the plugin directory. You can replace them with your own images there.

    Tobias

    Here is a screenshot

Do you mean third-party plugins? For example?
Or can this be done in your tablepress?

    Hi Denis,

Thanks for the screenshot! I can confirm it in Firefox ow. This is strange though, and I don’t really see why it’s happening…

Regarding the images: They are stored as open.jpg and close.jpg in the wp-content/plugins/tablepress-datatables-row-details/ folder on your server (where you installed the TablePress Extension).

    Hi, Tobias!
Tell me, if I change the icons in the folder you specified, will the changes remain or disappear when the plug-in is updated?
Or will you never update this plugin again?

    Thank,
    Denis

    (@tobiasbg)

    Hi Denis,

yes, the changes would be replaced if the plugin gets an update. However, as the plugin is not in the WordPress plugin directory it will not get automatic updates. Therefore, the icons would only be replaced if you manually update the plugin. (And it’s unlikely that I will update the Extension anytime soon.)

    Regards,
    Tobias
