Hi,
In what context are you receiving that message?
David
When I try to authenticate Dropbox.
Hi,
You’re sure you’ve got UD 1.11.9? If so, then Ttry de-activating and de-installing UpdraftPlus, and then installing a fresh version. Though 1.11.9 is the latest, and has a fix for this Dropbox issue, I think the first few moments in which 1.11.9 was available didn’t have the fix in it, and perhaps you updated to 1.11.9 in those few minutes and didn’t get the fix.

Ok, that must have been it as that worked. I guess I was really on top of that update! Thanks.
You’re welcome!
If you find UpdraftPlus useful, then please give us a positive review, here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/view/plugin-reviews/updraftplus?rate=5#postform
(If we’re not yet worth 5 stars, then please don’t review, but instead reply here to let us know why not – reviews less than 5 stars bring our average down!).
Best wishes,
David
My only issue is that if you don’t purchase the folders add-on for dropbox or google drive or whatever remote storage you use and you click on “rescan remote storage” link, it will pull in every backup you have from every site for which you use the plugin.
I had no need to use that link until I had a problem a while back where one site was backing up every 15 minutes or so and my other accounts weren’t pruning the backups so it was all a mess and I didn’t know what backups I actually had. I thought using that link might clear that up but instead it pulled in every backup from all my installations and made quite a mess. Only when you clicked on the backup to download it could I see that it was, in fact, for a different installation. I use your plugin on all 23 sites I manage so you could imagine how many backups it listed and those had to be deleted manually to get an accurate listing of what was actually backed up. I got that all sorted out and I realize I could purchase the PRO version and make separate folders for each installation but to your credit, I had no need for separate folders until I ran into that problem, which you resolved.
My only suggestion would be to have some kind of warning that clicking that link will pull in all backups in the folder (even if they belong to other installations) and result in an inaccurate listing of the actual backups for that installation.
All that said, that’s just a small suggestion and I am otherwise very happy with the plugin and I will happily write you a 5 star review. Overall, it’s saved me a lot of time and has been a big help to managing a lot of WordPress installation (I use MainWP with UpdraftPlus, by the way to bulk manage these sites).
So, thanks again!
Hi,
Thanks for the review and feedback. I’ve now made a tweak to the tooltip on that link in our development version to hopefully make the link’s function slightly clearer.
