# Dropdown Menu Functionality

 * How do I make a top menu item (“Books”) non-navigable? I want it to show the 
   dropdown items when you hover over it, but I don’t want anything to happen if
   clicked.

 * Thank you for being so patient.
 * You can achieve this directly in the WordPress menu settings.
 * When adding the “Books” item, simply leave the URL field empty (or enter # if
   WordPress requires something there).
 * Then add the dropdown items underneath it. This way, “Books” won’t be clickable,
   but it will still show the dropdown menu when hovered over.
