# Dropdown menu in side widget area help

 * Hello,
    How do i make the menu widget on the sides that contains all the categories
   not open the pages, just expand to subcategories?
 * An example lets say we have Volkswagen that contains golf and passat,
    when i
   click on the side i just want to open down gold and passat to chose, but instead
   for some reason besides that he opens the category displaying all the posts from
   golf and passat.
 * Im really stuck here, is there a way or plugin to do this??

 * You are using the widget named “Archives”. You want the widget named “Categories”
   and mark the boxes labelled “Display as dropdown” and “Show hierarchy”.

 * no that is not what i was looking for, ill provide some pictures for easier understanding
   since i may have used the wrong words do describe my problem.

   on the right is the widget , this is how i still want it to look like, not just
   a dropdown bar

   when i click on lets say Audi it opens the page containing all Audi posts, i 
   just want it to open the Audi models on the menu, and still remain on the same
   page that i was on. that is my problem 😀

 * For some reason the pokit pictures do not work,
    here is another picture. i want
   the widget to look like this and open like this but not to open the pages until
   it has reached the lowest level in the hierarchy
