 * Can anyone tell me why the following two URLs are returning the same content?(
   there is no 301 redirect going on)

 * (shouldn’t the second one 404?)

 * Could be the canonical redirect feature of WordPress. If you don’t like that 
   consider this plugin:

 * thanks! I think I’ll leave it if it is applying the canonical tag…. the engines
   will know where the original content is.
