# Dynamic excerpt?

 * I know I’ve been asking for a lot of help here, but I have one more question 
   for now. Is it possible to have the excerpt automatically truncated rather than
   needing a more tag. This would be useful for the frontend submit where the user
   would not have to enter a more tag and it is force to certain number of characters.

 * Currently not possible. It would require a setting for the truncate length too,
   so this is more of a feature request. I know wordpress has a function that does
   this too, but I think it also takes the words into account, not purely the letter
   count.
