 * I am familiar with WordPress due to daily use and technical support for a blogging
site and am considering using WP for my office website. One thing that we have
to be able to do, however, is offer clients files dynamically. As soon as a file
is uploaded into a user allowed directory, they have to be able to access it.
Right now we utilize a very dated Cold Fusion server that offers a dynamic directory
tree to the user based on their root directory access allowed at the point they
log in. All children (directories or files) are available to them while having
no access to any parent directory. What this allows us to do is transfer huge
numbers of directories and files to the “ClientData” directory all at one time
across a network share for immediate availability to our clients to download/
view (no uploading or manipulation is needed by the client). Is this possible
in WP if it is on an internally managed Apache/PHP/MySQL/WordPress in a Windows
10 host (everything is brand new, updated and working flawlessly)? We serve way
too many files to make uploading to a remote host plausible and cost effective
so I already have a server set up and running. Thank you in advance for any assistance!
