# Easy WP https messed everything up, can't move back to http

 * I installed easy wp https: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/https-redirection/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/https-redirection/)
   and it messed up everything on my website.
 * I’ve set it up to redirect my entire site to https.
 * After I saved the changes, in firefox I get:
 * > The page isn’t redirecting properly
 * and in chrome:
 * > This webpage has a redirect loop
 * .
 * I’ve did the .httaccess edits, removing # BEGIN WORDPRESS and # END WORDPRESS,
   or something like that.
    Same. I removed the entire plugin folder from wp-content/
   plugins, still the same.
 * I didn’t had any cron job to backup (will have from now on, for sure!), so, I
   really need to get it working back as it was.

 * Thanks for the tip.
    Changed siteurl and home from the
 * > wp_options
 *  table. But still the same. There are more things in the table than just siteurl
   and home that have https, but, I have wordpress-https also installed, but not
   active. Some stuff is from that plugin, I can’t change everything, because I’m
   affraid it will mess something else up.
 * Also tried on my VPS `find public_html/ -mmin -120 -ls`, which gives me the files
   modified in the last 2 hours, but no trace of anything else.
 * Anyway, I’ve changed siteurl and home to [http://domain.com](http://domain.com),
   but still the same.
 * Any suggestions are appreciated.

 * Like I said, already did, there were some wordpress directives I think, but I
   removed them. .httaccess file is back to normal.

 * website still redirects to https? did you checked wp-config.php file too?
 * also see in above https-redirection forum as how to completely remove all entries
   made by the plugin.

 * wp-config.php is good as well.
    I started to restore an older backup, even if
   it takes longer.
 * Don’t know what it really changed, but I will have to give a bad rating to the
   plugin. Thanks to everybody.

 * sometimes restoring from backup is much quicker than trying to fix it.
