# Ecwid – Issue with redirection

 * This is Andrew from Ecwid.
 * I am writing in behalf of our merchant who is facing issue with the plugin.
 * The merchant configured redirect from [https://mcsie.com/store/Wholesaler-c129866752](https://mcsie.com/store/Wholesaler-c129866752)
   to [https://mcsie.com/login/](https://mcsie.com/login/) but it doesn’t work as
   intended (screenshot of the settings – [https://ecwid.d.pr/DsA7BC](https://ecwid.d.pr/DsA7BC))
 * Steps to reproduce the issue:
 * 1. Open the page [https://mcsie.com/store/](https://mcsie.com/store/)
    2. Click
   on the Wholeseller Thumnail (screenshot: [https://ecwid.d.pr/vlX1Ju](https://ecwid.d.pr/vlX1Ju))
   3. Instead of Redirection the category opens [https://mcsie.com/store/Wholesaler-c129866752](https://mcsie.com/store/Wholesaler-c129866752)
   4. But if you copy and paste the link of the category into the browser address
   bar [https://mcsie.com/store/Wholesaler-c129866752](https://mcsie.com/store/Wholesaler-c129866752)
   the redirection works and we see the desired page [https://mcsie.com/login/](https://mcsie.com/login/)
   5. Also if we click on the Wholeseller from the store Dropdown menu then redirect
   works, and we see the page [https://mcsie.com/login/](https://mcsie.com/login/)
   6. The redirection doesn’t work only when we click on the Wholeseller’s category

 * The redirect is working fine and will always work the same regardless of where
   it is clicked. You should pay attention to the redirect settings and the URL 
   that isn’t working, and make sure it fully matches.

 * But irrespective of that, the redirect doesn’t work when we click on the categories

 * A redirect always behaves the same, and has no concept of where it is being clicked.
 * Your website is running additional code, probably in JavaScript, that is just
   changing the browser URL without making a request. You will need to disable that
   and allow the redirect to function.
