I’d like to be able to edit the “Thank you. Your order has been received.” on the checkout completion page.

Which .php page is the message located?

inside your theme destination look for woocommerce/templates and inside is thankyou.php

Templates can be overwritten by updates. Try this plugin instead:

You can also use this plugin to create a custom thank you page that won’t be overwritten: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wc-custom-thank-you/
