Hi, unfortunately I don’t have any good news since this bothers us a lot as well. I got this reply from EventPrime a few days ago.
We apologies for any inconvienced this may have caused.
We want to inform you that the ‘Edit Event’ feature on the frontend has been deprecated due to a conflict with the template system. However, you can still manage and edit events directly from the backend.
I’m hoping they can fix this in an update and bring it back. This also broke all the templates we were using with one of our sites using Divi, since Divi doesn’t even pick up EventPrime events as a post type to handle.
Hm, gotta say that’s a bit concerning to me! Thanks for letting me know.
Thank you for your feedback.
We understand the importance of the ‘Edit Event’ option on the frontend, and we acknowledge that its removal has caused some inconvenience. The event post type was made private to ensure proper functionality of the frontend template system, but we fully agree that this feature is essential for a smooth workflow.
We are excited to inform you that we are working on a solution and plan to reintroduce the ‘Edit Event’ option in an improved form in our upcoming release, which is targeted for mid-October.
We appreciate your patience.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
That’s good to hear – thank you!
Just checking in on this one too – was also hoping that today’s release would include this. Is this still in the works?
Any updates or forecasts of when it might be released?
