Edit Flow conflicts with WPML preventing preview

As noted on http://wpml.org/forums/topic/draft-preview-404s-on-second-language-because-url-does-not-have-language-slug/, we can’t preview articles on a multilingual site using WPML when not in the default language. Today I was able to isolate the cause as the Edit Flow plugin – if you deactivate the plugin then preview works again.
The workaround is to manually insert the missing language identifier such as ‘/EN’ but that gets tiresome after the first few times.
If anyone from the Edit Flow team reads this, would you please look into this issue? Another member reports on https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/incompatibility-with-wpml-plugin that the WPML team attempted to contact the Edit Flow people but apparently nothing came out of it or they were unsuccessful.
