 * The editorial comments capability – directly located under the post – is not
viewable by a contributor. As an admin, when I leave an editorial comment below
the post for a writer – when the writer is logged in, it doesn’t show the ‘editorial
comment.’ I however, can see the string of comments and responses as an admin,
   but the writer cannot?
 * Is there a simple fix for this?
 * The only other plugin we are using that might be the culprit is Role Scoper?
Has anyone else experienced this — and is it fixable?

 * Visibility of most Edit Flow features is capability based, so if you’ve changed
any of your Contributor’s capabilities this is likely the case. Do you recall
   what changes you’ve made?

 * Hi Daniel, I just deactivated Role Scoper and that seemed to be the culprit.
Is there another similar plugin to Role Scoper that won’t likely conflict with
   Edit Flow?

 * What specifically do you need to do? I’m not familiar with Role Scoper

 * There are two that seem popular, and probably many more:
 * I’ve used Members before (quite a while ago), and was generally impressed. I’m
sure either would suit you quite well.
 * Thanks,
    Scott

 * I’m not seeing any conflict between Role Scoper 1.3.46 and Edit Flow 0.6.5. Contributors
can see the Editorial Comments metabox and comments by Administrators show.
 * bella2011, if you are still interested in this please describe your any RS Roles,
Restrictions and Options you customized so I can recreate the symptom.
 * By the way, User Role Editor and Members are not really “similar plugins”.
    They
are primarily site-wide role editors (though Members does have a content permissions
component). Role Scoper is primarily focused on implementing content-specific
   roles and restrictions.
