# Edit function not working

 * Hi TablePress Support Team,
 * I designed this site some years ago using the Divi theme. My customer would always
   keep the concert table up to date, but it seems this is no more possible. Also
   I can’t edit the table no more.
 * I tested already deactivating all other plugins, nothing changed. Please give
   me a hint.

 * none of the
    Bearbeitungsfunktionen works, f.e. when I select a row and try to
   delete it, and Änderungen speichern also doesn’t have any effect.

 * Hi,
 * ok, I see. This indicates a JavaScript problem. Most likely, you are affected
   by the “jQuery Migrate is disabled by default” change in WP 5.5 that is explained
   at [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/read-this-first-wordpress-5-5-master-list/#post-13238244](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/read-this-first-wordpress-5-5-master-list/#post-13238244)
   
   A short-term fix might be to install the mentioned plugin from [https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/)
   on your site. However, this is not a real fix to the error, which is probably
   raised in your theme. In more detail, some theme JavaScript file should not be
   using the outdated jQuery “live()” function anymore, but its replacement “on()”,
   or something similar. (As I can’t look at this directly, this is just a guess
   though.)

 * sorry to hear that.
 * I already know the jQuery problem caused by WordPress 5.5 from another website
   I designed (with another theme and no tables). But in that other case the whole
   site doesn’t work anymore even after I installed
    [https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/)
   So this other website I have now to build new from scratch…

 * if that did not fix TablePress, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your
