# Edit Post

 * I just updated to 2.8. Everything seemed fine and running well until I tried 
   to add a new post. In “Edit Post” where you write and edit copy and placement
   of images, while the default “Visual” is up it looks like I have no content and
   no editor functions. If I click and drag in the box it’s there but it’s white
   and it is in html. I tried to deactivate my plug-ins but that didn’t work. Any
   other thoughts on the problem?

 * I have exactly the same problem, and have tried also to deactivate plugins… alas
   to no avail!
    It would be great to have some suggestions on how to proceed, as
   I’ve been spending days with no result.

 * I have the same problem. My visual editor does not give me anymore options. Only
   the HTML tab works when I edit a post. Can someone help us on correcting this
   major problem???

 * I have similar problem as I no longer have option to “insert” an image. I can
   upload a file in “media”, but have no way to attach that file to the post. Can’t
   see it in either HTML or Visual Editor options. Have tried deactivating plug-
   ins as well.

 * It’s a sticky, but for some reason I still had to search for it? Doesn’t show
   up at the top of the forum as it should.
 * Any moderator around that can unbury the post? It’s very important.
 * Basically, clear your browser cache and overwrite your wp-admin and wp-include
   folders with copies from a fresh download. If that doesn’t work there are further
   instructions in the sticky.

 * Thanks for the link. I think that the seventh (7th) option in the link above 
   will help most people. I would try this first because it just fixed me completely!
 * **7. Some people also reported success redoing the upgrade via Tools->Upgrade-
   >Re-install automatically, then clearing the browser cache.**
