# Edit posts, not pages

 * I have Override the post edit link turned on, but it also seems to be over riding
   the PAGES edit. Why? I want the default editor for pages.

 * When you enable [this](https://prnt.sc/o2qysf), it allows a user to edit link
   for both page and post.
 * Because the settings tell us that it allows the user to override the edit post
   link. Since page is a type of post as well, so the setting affects on post type
   page.
