# Editor corrupted

 * I’ve lost editing capability with WordPress 2.9.2. I am unable to create a new
   blog entry and I am unable to edit an old entry. This problem extends to not 
   being able to save an API key value. I am able to deactivate Plugins one by one,
   but not in bulk. Changed settings within Plugins will not stay fixed or I receive
   a message to try it again.
 * While the automatic reinstall is also broken, I did a complete reinstall of WP
   Version 2.9.2. Still no success in curing the problem.
 * Several host servers, where I keep my blog, were hacked and apparently something
   happened to my blog during that invasion as I was not working on the blog when
   the problem started to show up. Funny characters began to appear at the end of
   most sentences. These will look different depending on the browser.
 * Would anyone have suggestions where to begin to cure this problem? Reinstalling
   WP is not the answer. Thanks in advance.

 * Looking over the possible solutions listed in the references, it appears as if
   the options narrow down to making a backup, delete all WP files, and start all
   over. Not a happy solution.
 * If one does not know what is causing the problem, there is a high probability
   one will need to go through this process again and again.
