# Editor doesn't work

 * OK- what is wrong. What setting should I dig into?
 * When I go to editor, and make changes, I click update. The page goes to my home
   page, and no changes are ever made. I have to manually download, edit, and update
   files with FTP and dreamweaver.
 * I also seem to be having troubles with image uploads on pages, or in media- but
   no problems uploading them from a new post.

 * Disable all plugins and switch back to the TwentyEleven default theme and see
   if you are having the same issues. If not, work forward from there activating
   plugins one by one to find the culprit as well as activating the theme with each
   plugin.

 * Yeah… i’ve thought of that.. but it’s a website in production. I really HATE 
   to do that.
 * Any ideas of what to look for? What kind of permissions that would be?

 * Put up a down for maintenance page. What JarretC recommended only takes a few
   minutes. We have a protocol for debugging problems which is basically a logical
   process of elimination. Otherwise any ideas are just shots in the dark.
