 * I have WordPress installed for multiple sites, and different hosting companies.
   I tried also different browswer. However, the Editor Performance is super slow
   and laggy. Sometimes totally stalls.
   That happens even with a “clean” WordPress
   Installation. Without using any Plugins, and the latest .php versions. The Database
   contains basically nothing.I can’t believe I am the only one that can’t work
   fluent with WordPress. If I am the only user experiencing that issue, what am
   I missing here and what am I doing totally wrong?
 * If it’s working, I kinda work in Slow Motion Mode. This is not workable, not
   doable. I seriously can’t believe I am the only WordPress user having this massive
   performance issue.
   Thanks for any help, advise or troubleshooting guides, appreciate
   it.

 * In some cases, the admin dashboard is slow because the **PHP memory limit** on
   your WordPress is set too low. The **system default is 32MB**, but it’s common
   practice to increase it.

 * Have you tried logging into the WordPress dashboards using a different device?

 * [@hemant-ahir](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hemant-ahir/) thank you, do
   you have a link to a tutorial how to increase that? And why is the limit by default
   not automatically increased? Wouldn’t that make sense?

 * [@pidengmor](https://wordpress.org/support/users/pidengmor/) of course. I was
   testing WordPress on multiple different devices. In a total of 6 different Workstations,
   and two Laptops. The Workstations are power Worksations, with A4000 GPU, or RTX
   3090, etc.
   AMZ Ryzen 9 Threadripper, 16Core Processors, and crazy amount of
   RAM. I am running multiple applications, heavily GFX, and Video Games. The best
   machines you can get on the market.And while everything else is running. WordPress
   is slow, stalls, freezes, and is laggy. I tested also multiple Browsers. Google
   Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Same behavior on all browswers.People on Discord told
   me that Gutenberg is just buggy and this lag is caused by Gutenberg. If that’s
   the case, in this is the default. I have to say, WordPress is destroying the
   entire Workflow.It’s too slow, too laggy for modern times like that. So again,
   either it’s me and I am missing something fundamental here, or I am illusional.
   Thanks for any help, workarounds and fixes.Appreciate it!

 * I was looking up the options to increase the memory limit.
   all my wp-config.
   pho files and the .htaccess files do not show any memory entry.Do I have to add
   them?If so, how?What code do I need and where to add them?thanks

 * I couldn’t find any plugin that would do that either.
   Thanks for any help!

 * The memory_limit is set by your hoster, not by WordPress. Contact their support
   if you need assistance with this.

 * thanks. It’s not the memory limit. Memory limit has been increased to 612M by
   the hosting company.
   So honestly. I was testing it with another brand-new workstation.
 * AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 16-Core Processor 32CPUS, 4.5GHZ
   GPU: RTX 4090
 * a crazy monster machine. Heaviest and most complex gfx programs run super fast.
   Besides the WordPress Editor.
   This is really a shame.I don’t want to sound arrogant.
   But either the developers don’t care about the “vanilla” Editor anymore, or they
   simple ignore the facts and that evident problem, everyone is having.Another
   developer admited the issues and recommened to use the plugin Elementor. I mean
   seriously?The Editor is the “CORE” of WordPress, and we can’t get this done?It’s
   like having a Tesla with a broken Battery or engine.Thanks for your understanding
   and appreciate all your help!Happy pressing the word.
