Switching php version didnt help. I already tried that and I told them that! Typically they dont actually read what I type properly first time and I have to keep repeating stuff. * They have now asked for a screenshot of the error message and admin log in to take a look. I will await their reply. * Thread Starter [patr100](https://wordpress.org/support/users/patr100/) * (@patr100) * [9 years, 9 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/elementor-requires-php-version-54/#post-7699565) * Ok they replied to say they have now added a new single line htaccess file of ` AddHandler application/x-httpd-php54 .php` to my public_html root in addition to the original more detailed htaccess file that was already in the sub folder where my WP site is located. At first this made no difference ( I did try similar) as they did not realise my site was in a sub-folder, but somehow it now applies as expected and the error is gone from the dashboard and the Elementor plug in appears installed and activated correctly as I have just fired up a test page and it has loaded so hopefully this resolves it.
