Got the same issue. Also the Tools-Tabs-contents are not showing seperately and a rollback is not possible. After selecting the version you want to restore to nothing happens. Have to install a backup too :/
Fixed it by deactivating all plugins and activating them again (elementor first)
I encountered a similar problem with one of my websites. I updated to Version 3.14.1 and all of a sudden Elementor titles and text changed to default Roboto font with blue headings and padding and margin changes aren’t working. All the custom changes are visible in the page builder, but they aren’t reflecting on the live pages even after publishing or updating.
I tried doing all the things above, including regenerating CSS, clearing caches and deactivating all plugins and restarting them, but nothing has changed. I also tried rolling the plugin back to 3.14.0 and 3.13.4 but that didn’t work either. The problem persisted even in earlier versions. I managed to work around this by using custom CSS to change the headings and fonts directly.
For some reason, this didn’t happen on the front page. It only happened on every other page on the site. I’ve also updated this plugin on other sites, and this one site was the only one where I encountered the issue. I’m not sure what’s going on.
I had the same issue. Fixed by deactivating improved CSS charge in Experiments and Features section. Please, fix this for future releases, we can’t lose more performance
I tried deactivating Improved CSS in the Experiments and Features section. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me. It still uses the defaults for text and headings unless I override them with custom CSS. Even if I turn off Use Elementor Defaults, it just then defaults to the theme defaults, in my case Astra theme.
Found the solution to my problem.
It was caused by mod_pagespeed. A caching module for Apache which I had enabled and forgot about it. I saw it today, disabled it and gave a try to update Elementor and worked like a charm!
I’ve tried to check this, but I can’t locate the option. We’re on a GoDaddy server. Also, for some reason, the problem is limited only to one website. All the other sites have Elementor updated and don’t have the same problem of reverting to default settings. Is there anything else that we can try or check?
