# Elementor’s headers not displaying when plugin enabled

 * I’m running into a problem where if I have a language switcher on the page while
   the plugin is active, the website just stops displaying any Elementor header.
   Everything works fine with the plugin disabled or even with just Polylang enabled,
   but as soon as I turn on Connect Polylang for Elementor the header breaks on
   the next page load.
 * Everything is up to date. I’m running:
    - Polylang Version 3.7.3
    - Connect Polylang for Elementor Version 2.5.0
    - Elementor 3.30.2
    - Elementor Pro 3.30.0
 * I have noticed that sometimes it removes the display condition for my header
   as well, but even if I reset it then it doesn’t fix the issue. I’ve also tried
   refreshing the Elementor cache and re-installing WordPress.
 * This also happens with any language switcher. I tried creating a shortcode to
   bypass using the Elementor widget and it still happens. It’s as though the plugin
   is making the display conditions get ignored entirely. If I don’t have a language
   switcher on the page then it doesn’t seem to break anything.

 * Hi there,
 * Do you found some solution to fix that?
 * Whenever I modify the header, footer, or custom Elementor scripts, the header
   and footer break and are no longer displayed on the site.
 * My temporary workaround is to go to **Templates -> Theme Builder**, click on
   the ‘Display Conditions’ for the header or footer, and then save them again without
   making any changes. After doing this, everything works correctly again.
 * I have already tried common troubleshooting steps like switching themes and disabling
   other plugins, but nothing has fixed it.
 * I have confirmed that the issue disappears only when the **Polylang Elementor
   Connector** plugin is disabled.
   All of my plugins and my WordPress installation
   are fully up-to-date.
 * Could you please look into this?
 * Thanks for your support.
   Nicola.

 * Have you checked that the header template has the correct language assigned?

   With **Connect Polylang For Elementor**, Elementor templates are translatable
   and must have a language assigned. It’s recommended to go to Polylang’s “Languages”
   menu and, if there’s content without a language, assign the site’s default language.

 * **Hi Pacatole,**
 * **YOU ARE THE BEST! That fixed it!**
 * When I switched from staging to live, I forgot to check and set the default language.
 * With the default language now assigned, the issue is no longer present.
 * Thank you for your help!
