 * About a week ago, I noticed that my dashboard was no longer loading. It loads
   only when I deactivate EM.
 * Wordpress is giving the following error:
 * Fatal error: Uncaught Error: [] operator not supported for strings in /home/*******/

 * Any thoughts? Thanks!

 * PHP version was the issue. I forgot that I had set it on 7.1 for some other work
   that I was doing. I put it back to the default 5.6 and the error stopped.
 * Thanks!

 * Event Manager has a problem with PHP 7.1:
 * [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-event-manager-5-6-6-1-did-not-run-with-php-7-1/#post-8975646](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-event-manager-5-6-6-1-did-not-run-with-php-7-1/#post-8975646)
 * We are all waiting for a new version …
 * It makes no sense to work with a DEV-Version in live.
