 * We have a lot of issues with WP Mail lately.
   The last error message was mentioning
   we had 200 emails per hour sent by Woocommerce…this is fake information. We don’t
   have that. We checked email deliverability from [admin@rutzu.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/email-errors-4/admin@rutzu.com?output_format=md)
   and no issues. The issues really are linked to WP Mail, I don’t know how we can
   improve the deliverability from WordPress. We are using email logs to measure
   the deliverability and a lot of fails although we don’t have errors on the server.
   Thanks for your help, Pierre

 * Hi [@pierremichaux](https://wordpress.org/support/users/pierremichaux/),
 * Thanks for reaching out.
 * **WooCommerce Emails**
 * Regarding the 200 WooCommerce emails, please know that the WP Mail SMTP plugin
   doesn’t only contain emails that you send manually.
 * After setup, WP Mail SMTP controls **all sent emails** from your WordPress site.
 * Whenever your website executes the [wp_mail()](https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/wp_mail/)
   function, it will count as an email notification.
 * These emails could be:
 * – WordPress/WooCommerce user registration emails
   – WordPress/WooCommerce reset
   password emails– Form email notifications (for example, contact forms, quotation
   forms, payment forms created using the WPForms plugin, Contact Form 7, Gravity
   Forms, or similar plugins)– WooCommerce Order notification emails – WordPress
   comment management emails (comment moderation/comment published)– WordPress plugin
   notifications (Eg: update notifications, etc)
 * These are not necessarily sent to your inbox or generated manually but they are
   also controlled by WP Mail SMTP once it’s configured on your site.
 * **Email Deliverability Fails**
 * Regarding these, can you please share some more details? Like what action did
   you take? What are you expecting and what actually happened?
 * If you can share an example or screenshot also, that would help. (Please do not
   share any sensitive information as this is public forum)
 * I look forward to hearing from you so I can help with the resolution.
 * Thanks! 🙂

 * Hi Nukak,
   Thank you so much for your reply. I understand the counter includes
   all what you describe…but we don’t have a high number of sales, contact forms,
   etc…so never we should reach 200 an hour…moreover, our activities were even more
   busy a couple of months ago…and never that message came…I am attaching a few
   screenshots, our settings but also error messages we see displayed in a plugin
   called EMAIL LOGS. Weird thing after testing a contact form….mail OK to admin,
   NOK to client…at the very same time…one OK, another one NOK…Screenshots are in
   this wetransfer link [https://we.tl/t-4ljiVGcZsi](https://we.tl/t-4ljiVGcZsi)
   Thank you, Pierre

 * Hi [@pierremichaux](https://wordpress.org/support/users/pierremichaux/),
 * I sincerely apologize for the delay in getting back to you.
 * Unfortunately, I was unable to access the screenshots in the URL you shared.
   Are you able to upload them to an image viewing site like imgur.com instead of
   sharing a file to download?
 * Please let me know. Thanks 🙂

 * Hi [@pierremichaux](https://wordpress.org/support/users/pierremichaux/),
 * Thanks for the additional details provided.
 * Please bear in mind that WP Mail SMTP does not generate emails.
 * The purpose of WP Mail SMTP is to help in the email delivery by acting as a bridge
   to ensure emails from your site are transferred to your SMTP mailer. From there,
   the SMTP mailer handles the delivery.
 * For example, you have an email is generated from WooCommerce -> sending of the
   notification email is triggered -> this email goes to the WP Mail SMTP plugin-
   > WP Mail SMTP plugin routes this email to the mailer -> mailer will send and
   deliver it further. So, emails from your site will be sent by mailing service
   instead of your web host’s server.
 * This is the process by which emails are sent from your site. So if you suspect
   that more emails are being sent than what is expected, the first place to check
   would be the source of the emails. Since the email logs show the source, I suggest
   you check with the support team of the plugin shown to generate these emails
   as they should be able to investigate this for you.
 * WP Mail SMTP only acts as a bridge for email delivery – not the email originator.
 * I hope this helps with some clarification. Thanks 🙂
