# Email subscription error

 * When trying to subscribe by email with an address from RU domain (e.g. [example@inbox.ru](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/email-subscription-error/example@inbox.ru?output_format=md)),
   I get
    “There was an error when subscribing, please try again.”
 * Is this a known error? When is it going to be fixed? Most of my readers have 
   such addresses 🙁

 * Is anybody reading this? This bug is really a big problem for me.
    Go to [http://www.michaeljackson.ru/](http://www.michaeljackson.ru/)
   and try to subscribe with any *.ru address – you’ll get an error.

 * I tried subscribing with [test@example.ru](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/email-subscription-error/test@example.ru?output_format=md)
   and I didn’t get that message. Do you still have this issue?
