 * In the link you provided it mentions two prerequisites
    1. The review was submitted via an [aggregated review form](https://help.cusrev.com/en/support/solutions/articles/43000051497).
    2. When replying, you enabled the checkbox to publish a copy of the reply on [http://www.cusrev.com](https://www.cusrev.com/)
       portal.
 * Does this mean that we need a cusrev.com account with reviews hosted on cusrev.
   com, or does this work with our own self-hosted reviews?

 * Thanks for your additional information.
 * Yes, the reviews need to be hosted on cusrev.com and this feature doesn’t work
   with self-hosted reviews. You can create an account on cusrev.com to manage the
   reviews.

 * Our plugin doesn’t have any hooks in the plugin that you can use to send emails
   to the customer after replying to a review. We use the WordPress function `wp_new_comment`
   to add the new comment for reply review.
