That could be due to the Cron job. A WordPress Cron job required a user to be visiting the site to run. So if there is no active user visiting the site, the cron job will not run, and as the user visit the site the code of the site loads, and the cron job run immediately.

To avoid this, You can add the external cron job with cPanel so it will run regardless of the active user visiting the site.
