embed short codes…where?

    I’ve just installed the smooth slider plugin. Looks great on preview…Am using Speedy theme. It says to imbed the short code (there’s a quick embed tag and a template code…but not where to put it? I am not a coder, computer person, etc. I have a child theme set up and I’ve also tried to put it in custom css (along with putting it in the index php. Where in the world does this sucker go..lol

    The typical shortcode for something like that simply gets pasted into the page where it is intended to appear. Example:

    ==============

    This is the text on the page, and now here is the slider display:

    [shortcode]

    ==============
