# embedding not rendering correctly

 * I am pasting a link to my event, but when I do the WordPress’ built-in oEmbed
   renders the site logo, not the photo associated with the event. When I put the
   link in iFramely to test the link, it renders appropriately with the image from
   the event. Why is this, if it is using the same data?
    Event link: [https://www.teamkendallvue.com/event/dinosaur-ridge/](https://www.teamkendallvue.com/event/dinosaur-ridge/)
   Thanks, Michael
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fembedding-not-rendering-correctly%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Hi [@renrec](https://wordpress.org/support/users/renrec/),
 * Thanks for choosing Hestia!
 * I checked your site, but I am not sure I see the issue. For me, the image rendered
   on the page you provided is different than the logo of the site – [screenshot](https://vertis.d.pr/zsUVfy).
   Is this not the image that should be displayed?
 * Thank you and have a nice day!

 * So here are some screen shots of what I mean. The first is the link, the second
   is what renders.

 * Thanks for the help…

 * Hi [@renrec](https://wordpress.org/support/users/renrec/),
 * Thank you for the screenshots.
 * If I understand it right when you share the link to your event, it’s displaying
   the logo instead of the Dinosaur Ridge image which is part of your content:

   [https://www.teamkendallvue.com/event/dinosaur-ridge/](https://www.teamkendallvue.com/event/dinosaur-ridge/)
 * Usually, when you share a post or page, the featured image is displayed. In this
   case, the above link is an event created from a plugin and not a page or post.
   It also does not have a featured image that is why when you share the link, it
   displays the logo.

 * You can reach out to the support team of the event plugin that you are using
   for assistance.
 * Hope this helps.

 * The link does have a featured image associated with the event which is not displaying…

 * Hi [@renrec](https://wordpress.org/support/users/renrec/),
 * May we ask what event plugin are you using so we can test this on our end.

 * SO when doing some troubleshooting, it looks like the conflict lies within the
   theme. When I changed to a different theme it rendered the featured image for
   the event correctly.
    thanks, Michael

 * Hi [@renrec](https://wordpress.org/support/users/renrec/),
 * Thank you for providing more details.
 * The Events Calendar plugin allows you to use different templates.
    I created
   a screencast for you on how to display the image. [https://vertis.d.pr/aGhdG9](https://vertis.d.pr/aGhdG9)
 * Hope that helps.

 * Hey that did help to change the problem. BUT it created a new problem. That template
   doesn’t render my menu for some reason. Can you help me to find a template that
   works for both?
    Please and Thank you, Michael

 * Hi [@renrec](https://wordpress.org/support/users/renrec/),
 * You can use the Page Builder Full Width instead.
    [https://vertis.d.pr/uDZKcZ](https://vertis.d.pr/uDZKcZ)
   That should display your menu and the image. I suggest you explore the plugin’s
   options so you can fully maximize it.
