Embeds are messed up
-
*Using the latest version of all software – plugins, themes, WordPress etc…
*Site: http://www.allaboutarsenal.com– Have a problem when I want to embed Instagram or Twitter posts.
– I know how to embed properly, and it works, until I click ‘publish’ to publish the post.– The Tweet or Instagram post does not work and doesn’t display properly – to me, it looks like it was interpreted as a quote or something like that.
– I must note that embedding YouTube videos does work
– I have attached a link to the post on my website where I did an example:

Hi StSteven. This isn’t a problem with Hueman; it’s the TinyMCE editor used by WP. You’ll have the same results using a default WP theme. I don’t know of a fix but this thread is an interesting read.
Thanks for the reply bdbrown, although to be honest I don’t quite follow you.
I may not be the most techie of people – I’m a writer, not a coder. But still, I thought this would’ve been simple – I have another blog where I use a different theme and I don’t experience any problems – I just tried it out and it works perfectly… It it were the TinyMCE editor used by WP, why is it only happening to one of the blogs (the Hueman themed) I use.
I think I may have been too quick to point the finger at Hueman for being at fault, but I don’t really see what else could be the problem
Thanks again for the reply bdbrown, but I don’t know what to do…
Did you try it on one of the default WP themes?
I am using the theme ‘Kelly’ on that specific site, and it worked.
I am quickly changing to the default, ‘Twenty Fifteen’ on that blog to test (I can’t do it on the one that uses Hueman, allaboutarsenal because I can’t afford to do tests that big on it)Just changed the theme from Kelly to Twenty Fifteen on that test blog. I posted a Twitter link and it worked just fine – exactly how I hoped and wanted it to…
Strange. When I used that twitter code I got the same results on Twenty Fifteen as you originally reported. Are you using the same plugins on the test site that you have on allaboutarsenal?
Fair point there – I was actually beginning to think the same – that it is a plugin interfering.
To answer your question: no, I don’t use the same plugins on the test site as I do on allaboutarsenal – I don’t use any on the test site, but dozens on allaboutarsenal.
I can’t really think of which one could be having problems though…Here is a list of all the (active) plugins on the website:

Well, on my test site I only have Akismet and P3 installed, and they’re both inactive, and I’m still having the problem with both Hueman and Twenty Fifteen. I guess if you’re not having a problem on Twenty Fifteen I stand corrected that it’s not the WP editor. I’m stumped.
Hmmm… Not easy… I mean, I feel it can’t be WordPress at fault because it it was (my reasoning is) there would be more people complaining, and with major websites that use WordPress, they can’t afford to not be able to embed something as simple as a tweet…
May I also add that I am having other problems as well with my site (which may be related to Hueman – I’m just not sure).
– When users sign up to my site, they never get an email with their password. I have tried so much without success.
You have a point there. It might be something buried within the theme but I wouldn’t begin to know where to look. And, since I can’t get it to work on Twenty Fifteen either, I don’t know what the two would have in common. And yours does work on Twenty Fifteen. I think my brain is fried…;-) Sorry I can’t offer anything more definitive.
Yeah. Anyway, thanks for giving it a shot and offering to help
Here’s an interesting read from a couple of years ago. Same issues; worked for some but not others. I tried the “fixes” but none of them worked for me.
