 * Dear team,
 * I have received several times, forms that have been completed by malicious people
   or robots, I think. They ticked a few boxes on a subject list and then they managed
   to submit the form while 6 answers are required including consent plus a captcha(
   hcaptcha). What do you think of this? How is it possible ? I tested my form myself
   and I can’t submit it without answering the required fields.
   Thank you for your
   opinion and solution.

 * Hi [@nvmweb](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nvmweb/)
 * I hope you are doing well today.
 * Unfortunately, it’s not possible to have submissions 100% protected from spam
   but using multiple protection methods does help reduce it by a good amount.
 * Forminator has its own simple anti-spam feature inside called “honeypot”. It’s
   just basic protection but together with reCaptcha enabled it should make the “
   shield” a bit stronger.
 * You can enable Honeypot for each form separately by editing the form and turning
   on the “Enable Honeypot protection” option in “Behaviour” settings.
 * Kind Regards,
   Kris

 * Hello Kris,
   Thank you for your prompt response. I may be a little naive but is
   it possible that the robots manage to pass the answers that are marked as required?
   This is what questions me.Have a good day Cécile

 * Hi [@nvmweb](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nvmweb/)
 * Some bots are smart enough to bypass the challenges and manipulate the DOM to
   submit the spams, so we also need to look deeper on how protect our sites to
   stop or decrease as much as possible.
 * On Forminator side we suggest:
    - hCpacha or ReCaptcha: [https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#captcha-field](https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#captcha-field)
      you can run an A/B test and see which fight better on your site.
    - Honeypot protection [https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#enable-honeypot-protection](https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#enable-honeypot-protection)
    - Consider using an Anti Spam, we integrate to cleantalk [https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#cleantalk-anti-spam](https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#cleantalk-anti-spam)
      and Akismet [https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#enable-akismet-spam-protection](https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#enable-akismet-spam-protection)
 * On your site Level:
    - Keep WP, Plugins & Theme updated.
    - Enable WPMU DEV Defender or any other security plugin
    - Make sure to configure it, there are some modules that can help for example
      UA banning and GEO blocking.
    - Consider using Cloudflare.
 * Best Regards
