# Enabling EXEC() …. again!

 * Me again!
 * Once upon a time my client sites were all on PHP version 5.5.xx and using a custom
   php.ini I was able to enable exec(). My clients were happy, I was happy and life
   was good.
 * As at the weekend my hosts upgraded to PHP version 5.6.24 and I no longer have
   php.ini, only user.ini. So now none of my sites will run EWWW … I am no longer
   happy.
 * I can’t find anyway of enabling exec in user.ini and I’ve looked further afield
   to try using htaccess but so far, nothing. Zip. Nada, Zilch.
 * Any suggestions?

 * The only place it can be enabled (as far as I know) is in the php.ini, so you’ll
   need to ask your webhost how to resolve that with the new version of PHP.
    If
