# Encoding Problems – Server Upgrades PHP4 to PHP5

 * My host has recently upgraded the server where my wordpress blog lives. The thing
   is, although I always used UTF-8 in my posts, after the change all the special
   characters like á é í ã õ ç got all screwed up.
 * How can I help them solve the problem. This does not replicate for new post only
   for the old ones.
