# Endless Redirect Loop

 * Greetings– We have a multisite, upgraded to 4.3.1, and are running wpDirAuth 
   1.7.9. Our students can log in directly by navigating to a specific URL (i.e.“…/
   wp-admin”), but any links designed to get to the dashboard, such as “Log In” 
   or any Toolbar menu selections, take to a log-in screen that seems to get stuck
   in an endless redirect loop. Students can enter their credentials, but they get
   immediately returned to another login screen. No error messages or reporting.
 * Any suggestions?

 * off the top of my head it probably has something to do with http vs https. What
   settings are you using for wpDirAuth, and what settings do you have set up for
   wordpress? Specifically, the site’s address, and site’s wordpress address. Are
   you using FORCE_SSL_LOGIN or FORCE_SSL_ADMIN?

 * This seems promising: In Multisite, I don’t see the options for Site URL vs. 
   WordPress URL in the settings menu. I notice that the urls for all of the pages
   that I access are all HTTPS, though, and when I open up wp_options in the database,
   site ID and home are both HTTP. FORCE_SSL_ADMIN is true. No FORCE_SSL_LOGIN.

 * Got it– we had “Require SSL Login” set to “Yes,” while “Enable SSL” was set to“
   no.” I turned off SSL login (we don’t have an active cert), and away it went!

 * in wpdirauth do you have **Require SSL Login** enabled?
 * Also, for your multisite, is it domain-based or directory-based?
