Hi – I’ve seen information on the Enhanced Categories Module, but can’t find how you download it. I’m not sure it will do exactly what I’m looking for, but it might!
What I’m trying to do is display all the listings for a parent category (that bit is fine) and then just have the sub-categories at the top of the list of listings, which will then filter the list accordingly if clicked on (this is the bit I can’t do). Apologies if I’m not using the right terminology!
    Many thanks

The Enhanced Categories module is one that we give away for free as part of our online email course about how to build a successful Business Directory. You can either signup for it on the website: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com or contact me to get it. The website signup on the lower right of the screen will be faster.

    Documentation is here: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/docs/#premium-categories

I think that’s what you’re looking for. Please let me know if you have any other questions or issues!

Hi – I have found a plug in that has given me the ability to list the sub categories of the category being displayed in the sidebar which has done the trick. It’s called List Custom Taxonomy and that, together with Simple Page Sidebars – works perfectly!

Thanks for your help – we must have been typing simultaneously! I will give it a try as well whilst I’m testing. Thanks!

Ah–I see what you wanted now. You wanted to put categories into the sidebar. The widget you found will do that, but having Enhanced Categories will be nice too. You can put images on categories using that module, as well as show parent/child categories separately instead of on a single page.
