# Equation Doesn't Parse?

 * This formula results in a “formula does not parse” message:
 * [latex size=0 color=000000 background=ffffff]\exists N \;\hbox{st}\;  t\sim X
   ^n[/latex]
 * It doesn’t seem to like \exists or \sim (I didn’t check the \hbox, but not knowing
   how to typeset these characters is pretty mysterious)
 * How come? These should be standard symbols.

 * Actually if you type [latex size=0 color=000000 background=ffffff]\exists N t\
   sim X^n[/latex] you will see that it works …
 * Nevetheless, hbox is generating a parsing error.
 * I do not know hbox by it appears to be a boxing command and is not a formula 
   area.
 * Do you have a screen shot of the correct rendering you want ?
