And then it got stuck on six images remaining for a good 30 minutes. So I cancelled and resumed, only to be told there are 86 images still needing to be compressed!
As an aside to all this, you state in the FAQ that if a user wants to restore their original images that they “hit Restore backup in the Media Library”
Am I going blind, but I don’t see that option?
Hi,
The Bulk optimisation process goes on ‘behind doors’ and it’s set to have a slow pace in order to not intrude with the site. The chaotic numbers are the result of a file intruding with the process. Let’s see if we can identify it.
Please send us your website’s URL at https://shortpixel.com/contact so we can check our logs.
Some of your images must have been optimized, and they should appear in your Media Library (the cancel button doesn’t affect already optimized images). It could also help if you send us the name of the last image file that was optimized, and the one next to it that didn’t get processed.
Thanks for your support and let’s try fixing this!
Sorry, I gave up using your service in the end.
With regards to restoring images, I since spotted that the option is only available when viewing the media library in a list order, rather than grid.
Also, I think it would be wise if you provided an option to bulk restore images, rather than having to do them one by one, or through cPanel etc. It’s not very user friendly.
Hi, thanks for the ideas and your feedback! The bulk restoring feature is on our to-do list.
Thanks for efforts and maybe you’ll give it another try on a different website.
