# erronous php error

 * when I try to initiate the install.php file I get an
    Error: PHP is not running
 * and yet, I know php is installed and running as the test code,
    <?php phpinfo();?
   >
 * works as I get the phpinfo page. However, I can only get that if I rename it 
   as index.php and place it in document root.
 * If I try to run the test.php file (same code as above) it just diaplays the code.
 * I’m not new to Linux , but I am new to wordpress and php, and I haven’t done 
   any apache stuff in years.
 * So, if someone could give me some help here? Thanks

 * I think you need to have a look in your php installation on the server, regardless
   wordpress.
 * If you don’t get php fired in some folders, it must be a matter of server setup
   and php.
