Error 400 Bad Request
-
So, I’ve never used WordPress before and I don’t have a lot of permissions to the site. A friend asked me if I could convert his site to a mobile friendly site. I thought, sure that would be easy, I’ll just ftp into it and start the conversion… a WordPress, different ballgame… hey look! There’s a WordPress Mobile Pack plugin, I’ll use that.
Okay, installation looks good after following the 6-step easy install. I visit the site and I’m asked if I want to be directed to the mobile or desktop site… I click the mobile site (which should redirect me to the m.smilesonmeetingstreet.com page), but I get an HTTP Error 400: Bad Request. Confused, I run a ping against the http://www.smilesonmeetingstreet.com and the m.smilesonmeetingstreet.com and both resolve to the same, correct ip address.
I’m not really sure, from the WordPress dashboard, how to access the file system to ensure the p-content/plugins/wordpress-mobile-pack/plugins/wpmp_transcoder/c path is writeable. I’m supposing that this might be the issue. Perhaps it is not and I should try something else.
I’m open to suggestions, thanks!
