Hi @kevinagar,
What version of the Ultimate member you have installed on your site?
Do you use a WordPress default theme or your own theme?
Ultimate member saves email templates to your theme’s /ultimate-member/emails folder, please check access permissions and make sure that it is possible to save files to this folder.
Regards.
Hi
thanks for replying. I use a different theme, Portfolio Gallery, but I have also tried twenty-nineteen and get the same errors. I have UM 2.1.1 installed and WordPress 5.3.
I’ve checked file permissions and they are
ultimate-member folder 0755
email folder 0755
All files in email folder 0644
On the same server I have another website using the same theme, same versions, same plugins, although more plugins, and everything works as expected with the same permissions as above.
The only thing I can see that is different is the site that works (https://www.kevinagar.uk) was updated to the latest version of UM from the previous version, whilst the site that doesn’t work (https://www.divejive.co.uk) I installed the latest version of UM without any previous versions.
Regards
Kevin
Hi
any suggestions for this problem?
Hi @kevinagar
I apologize for the late response as we’ve been fighting back the backlogs.
Could you please tell me if you’re still encountering the issue? Did you sort it out?
Let me know if you need help.

If you require access then let me know with an email and I’ll send it to you
Hi @kevinagar
Could you please try activating UM plugin and theme only? Let’s see if the issue is between the WordFence and UM.
Regards,
Hi
I’ve deactivated everything except for UM and the theme and still get error 404. I’ve also tried a default theme, twenty nineteen, and still the same error. Please refer to my original message.
Regards
Kevin
Hi @kevinagar
Could you please try doing a fresh install of WP and UM and see if the issue still occur?
Regards,
Hi
completely removed everything
Reinstalled WP 5.3 with the default theme (twenty twenty)
Installed UM with latest version
Still getting the same error, page not found.
Changed theme to Twenty Nineteen, same errors
Regards
Kevin
Enabling account activation email and saving gives error 404 for the URL https://divejive.co.uk/wp-admin/admin.php?page=um_options&tab=email&email=checkmail_email
I don’t know if this helps.

Kevin
Hi @kevinagar
Could you please contact us via our website so I can investigate on your site directly?

Regards,
Well, despite the problem not really being UM, @champsupertramp kept at the problem and finally solve it. I contacted my Provider, Namecheap, and requested mod_rewrite to be installed. After a bit of looking into the problem Namecheap installed mod_rewrite and everything works as it should do. Thank you Champ Camba for getting to the bottom of the problem.
Best regards
Kevin
