 * Hi,
 * [Please take a look](http://www.cnet-training.com/delivered-by-expert-instructors/)
   I have page that displays a list of posts that belong to a custom-post-type named‘
   team’ yet I keep getting the Error 404 page when I click on one yet these posts
   actually exist!
 * I am using a third party theme, and have contacted the author for assistance
   yet it is beyond their scope of support apparently!
 * A temporary solution is for me to re-save the custom-permalink structure, but
   after a day or so, the Error 404 page is apparent again.
 * Any suggestions? Your help is much appreciated.

    Sorry, slightly confusing,
   the link I posted above is to the page where I am having problems…
 * You will see a list of posts with a thumbnail image and short excerpt, yet when
   I click any of these, I am directed to error 404 page! These posts do exist!
 * Can anybody help!?

 * -then try deactivating ALL plugins (yes, all) temporarily to narrow down the
   problem. If the problem goes away, re-activate them individually (one-by-one)
   to find the problematic plugin(s). If you can’t get into your admin dashboard,
   try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently
   inactive plugin can still cause problems (because the hooks remain unless plugins
   completely removed or some plugins stick around in cached files. So by renaming
   the folder, you break them and force them inactive). If applicible, also remember
   to deactivate any plugins in the mu-plugins folder. The easiest way is to rename
   that folder to mu-plugins-old

 * Thanks [@t-p](https://wordpress.org/support/users/t-p/)
 * I have solved this issue by using
 * > /%category%/%postname%/
 * in the custom structure under permalink settings and seems to have done the
   trick. I am hoping this is a permanent solution as previously after a day or
   so, the error 404 page is apparent again.
 * I did try what you suggested, I deactivated all my plugins and the problem went
   away, one by one I reactivated them and found that the problem occurred after
   I reactivated the Events Manager plugin. Events Manager is a essential part of
   our website so removing it is a no. I haven’t much experience with php so I don’t
   want to delve into the back end. Renaming the custom structure of my permalinks
   has solved it for now anyway.
