Error 500 during wordpress installation

    Hi, new to wordpress.. I have uploaded my offline site files to my ftp. Set up a database in the hosting control panel page. When I go to my site I get the wordpress set up/ installation screen asking for language. Next it asks for site details/ username password etc. Then it comes up with error 500 internal server error? Does anyone know what could be causing this during the installation? Thanks in advance for your help.

    The reason for the error should be visible in the error log. You can find it in your hosting area. If necessary, the support of your hosting can help you.
