 * Set a banner and tried to add it to a group but getting a page error message 
   when I try to save.

 * It seems that all adverts have the same problem?
 * I open them and then save and get ‘This page isn’t working’

   button?

 * Try re-evaluating all adverts from Settings > Maintenance.
 * If that doesn’t help, check the servers error_log file for anything that mentions
   AdRotate. Anything is interesting.

 * I had a same problem. Solved by switching from PHP 7.1 to 7.0. Reason is variable
   initialized as empty string and then treated as an array. Problem is in file 
   adrotate-manage-publisher.php on line 58(initialization), 139(wrong variable 
   handeling). Maybe there are more bugs but this one I found 🙂
