# error activating advanced-custom-fields

 * 1. The plugin sometimes appears in the plugin list and sometimes not ( the plugin
   folder exist under plugins folder )
 * 2. I am receiving this error while trying to activate the plugin:
 * The plugin advanced-custom-fields/acf.php has been deactivated due to an error:
   Plugin file does not exist.

 * Hope you’re well! 🙂
 * I suggest you navigate using your preferred ftp client to **/public_html/wp-content/
   plugins/** to see if there is a folder named **advanced-custom-fields**. If the
   folder doesn’t exist then I suggest you try to re-install again the plugin. If
   the folder is there, I suggest you disable all other plugins just to see this
   is not a plugin to plugin issue.
