Title: Error Adding Custom Author Last modified: August 20, 2016 --- # Error Adding Custom Author * Resolved [vintagecove](https://wordpress.org/support/users/vintagecove/) * (@vintagecove) * [13 years, 3 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-adding-custom-author/) * I would dearly love to use this plugin but I keep getting the error message “ Error Adding Custom Author!” * I have not yet been able to add a custom author. * Is Custom About Author compatible with WP 3.5 or above? * I have tried it on three different sites, with three different themes, and WP 3.5 or 3.5.1. * Pluging is installed and activated. I have uploaded to version 1.5.3, but am still getting the same error message. I’m guessing it must be a conflict with another plugin. Have tried to add a new user multiple times, only to get the “error adding custom author” message. I have uninstalled and re-installed the plugin to no avail.
