# Error after install

 * I just installed Word Press on my server and after it creates the database tables(
   successfully mind you) I get the following error msg:
 * Warning: mkdir(C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WP/wp-content/themes/<blog_name>): Permission
   denied in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WP\wp-admin\upgrade-functions.php on line 683
 * The blog is up and running “fine” but I’m assuming this is a permissions error….
   should all directories and/or files be CHMOD 777?
 * If thats the problem, I have a different problem, I can’t seem to CHMOD any of
   my files or directories! I get following error msgs:
 * [R] 500 ‘SITE CHMOD 777 admin.php’: command not understood
 * ANY help would be greatly appreciated. FTPD is BulletProof 2.15 and FTP Clinet
   is FlashFXP.

 * chmod -R FOLDER should do it butI don’t know your software. Are you hosting this
   yourself? (I looks like it from the folder names) Else you could ask your webhost
   for help?

    Little more to the story:
 * I do have my own host/server that I run… and was getting the above errors on 
   that. I also have a remote server that at my friends company, set everything 
   up there and was able to CHMOD the dir to 777 (recursive on files/dirs) and it
   works fine… well I’m still have a small problem with a plug though.
 * I’d still like to get this running on my home server but for the life of me can
   not get CHMOD to work on my server… gone in through both BulletProof FTPD and
   even broke down and tried FTPing in through IIS FTP with same results. I can 
   NOT get the CHMOD to work 🙁
