 * Hi,

 * Hi [@muzotakt](https://wordpress.org/support/users/muzotakt/),
 * This is not related to the update. The Curl 35 error usually is the result of
   an old PHP version. Can you try updating your PHP to the latest version? In most
   cases you can do this on your hosting dashboard. If not, your hosting company
   can help you with this.

 * There seems to be an SSL problem with the wp_remote_get function. I did some
   more searching, and found some threads that look related:
    [https://askubuntu.com/questions/1118990/curl-35-error1407742essl-routinesssl23-get-server-hellotlsv1-alert-protoc](https://askubuntu.com/questions/1118990/curl-35-error1407742essl-routinesssl23-get-server-hellotlsv1-alert-protoc)

 * Reading these articles, your issue seems to be caused by an issue with the TLS
   versions that CURL is using, or an issue with the openSSL version used by curl.
 * The core WordPress wp_remote_get() function uses CURL for requests. This function
   is used by the plugin to check the .htaccess redirect.
 * This is a server configuration issue that can be resolved by your hosting company.
 * Hope this helps!
